Ovarian Cancer Vaccine Trial

This is a Phase II clinical trial of a novel pentavalent vaccine intended to elicit an immune response against the most common antigens over expressed on the surface of ovarian cancers and is being sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and the Gynecologic Oncology Group. The vaccine was developed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The clinical trial will test the ability of the vaccine to elicit protective antibodies that can kill the circulating tumor cells and micrometastases that remain and can cause tumor recurrence after all standard therapy is administered to the patient.
